Summary:
This is a pivotal role at the heart of Hollister’s innovation engine. Our Senior Program Managers are enterprise leaders of complex, cross‑functional initiatives. They play a critical role in driving predictable execution, enabling strategic decision‑making, and connecting technical work to customer and business outcomes.
As a Senior Program Manager, you will be the architect and orchestrator of one of our most critical, complex, and strategically important programs – the initiatives that shape our portfolio, strengthen our competitive position, and directly improve the experience of patients and clinicians around the world.
This is a highly visible leadership role with direct interaction across functional and executive leadership, requiring strong leadership, systems thinking, technical depth and effective communication. This role is ideal for someone who brings both operational discipline and strategic fluency, someone who can orchestrate teams, clarify trade‑offs, and anticipate challenges long before they materialize. This position should be based out of Ballina Ireland.
Responsibilities:
Deliver Strategic Outcomes Across a Cluster of Programs
Translate innovation ambition and strategic goals into a portfolio‑aligned program roadmap.Ensure programs deliver meaningful customer experience, clinical value, and business results.Shape scope, priorities, and sequencing to maximize impact across the portfolio.
Orchestrate Cross‑Functional Teams Through Complexity
Lead multifunctional teams (Engineering, Operations, Clinical, Regulatory, Quality, Marketing) around one integrated plan.Bring discipline to interdependency management, resource alignment, and risk mitigation.Be the integrator who makes the whole system work.
Drive Predictability, Speed, and Rigor
Build robust plans with clear critical paths, decision gates, and scenario models.Surface risks early, with data and recommended actions.Ensure teams do not drift; ensure leaders are not surprised.Provide concise, evidence‑based insights to guide trade‑offs.Identify structural issues that impact timing, cost or technical feasibility.Drive closure through decisions made, actions owned, timelines defended.
Influence Up, Down, and Across
Communicate program narratives with authority and clarity to the ELT.Coach project managers and engineers on execution discipline and risk‑thinking.
Build Capability & Improve the System
Role‑model best‑in‑class program leadership behaviors.Feed lessons into the PMO to elevate standards, templates, and governance.Strengthen Hollister’s culture of transparency, accountability and continuous learning.

Requirements:
Minimum of 10 years of relevant program management/core team leadership experience, with a strong track record in large, complex product development projects in regulated environments, preferably medical devices.Demonstrated success managing interdependent projects across technical and commercial domains.Strong systems‑thinking and risk‑management capabilities.Exceptional communication, synthesis and senior‑level influencing skills.Mastery of integrated planning, scenario analysis and evidence‑based escalation.Experience with Stage‑Gate systems and Project Portfolio Management (PPM).Communicate with authority and calm, build trust through concise, data‑driven updates.Lead through influence, earning followership by clarity, preparation and fairness.Ability to travel up to 10%Ability to work in a hybrid environment
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a technical field. Advanced degree preferred.Professional PM Certification (Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent)Experience in regulatory environments (21 CFR, QSR 830, ISO 13485:2003, ISO 14971, Risk Management), medical devices preferred.

The anticipated base salary range for this position is €89,000 ‑ €126,400.
