Safety Advisor – Demolition & Decommissioning ProjectLocation: Marina, Cork (Full-Time Onsite)Duration: 7 MonthsStart Date: Mid–End June 2026OverviewOur client is seeking an experienced Safety Advisor to support a major demolition and decommissioning project at Marina Generation Station in Cork City Centre. This is a client-side safety assurance role working closely with engineering, environmental, and contractor teams on a high-risk live project environment.The role will focus on driving strong safety performance, contractor compliance, asbestos management coordination, and environmental safety assurance across all phases of the demolition works.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide visible onsite safety leadership and day-to-day safety engagementMonitor contractor compliance with Health & Safety, asbestos, and environmental legislationReview contractor RAMS, permits, and safety documentation for high-risk activitiesSupport asbestos management activities and coordinate with specialist asbestos consultantsMonitor environmental and waste management compliance including segregation, storage, and disposal practicesParticipate in site inspections, audits, safety walks, and close‑out actionsSupport incident, near‑miss, and prevention‑focused learning initiativesProvide regular updates to project leadership on safety performance, trends, and emerging risksWork closely with ESB Engineering & Major Projects and contractor teams to reinforce a strong project-wide safety cultureRequired Experience & SkillsMinimum 10 years’ Health & Safety experience within large-scale construction or infrastructure projectsStrong knowledge of asbestos management and asbestos removal regulationsStrong understanding of Health & Safety legislation, standards, and codes of practiceExcellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skillsExperience operating within dynamic, high‑risk site environmentsAbility to work independently and proactively onsiteStrong contractor safety assurance experienceDemolition or decommissioning project experienceClient‑side safety assurance experienceEngineering or project management backgroundUtilities, energy, or industrial project experienceBOHS 405 – Management of Asbestos in Buildings qualificationQualificationsLevel 7 qualification in Health & Safety (essential)SafePass and Manual Handling certification requiredAdditional InformationFull‑time onsite role based at Marina, CorkStart date expected mid‑to‑end June 2026PPE and site safety compliance mandatoryCandidates must provide their own phone, laptop/PC, and internet access
