This role also has a significant focus on business development and enabling ESG and sustainability related growth within the Irish market, building on efforts in the last few years to establish a presence in the market, to grow Anthesis’ Irish client base and partnerships, and to support overall Anthesis Ireland growth.As a Senior Consultant you would typically be line managed by a Principal Consultant or an Associate Director. For the purpose of the maternity cover, you would report to the Anthesis Ireland MD. While you will not always be working on projects with your line manager, their role is to help you guide, support and manage your performance and growth in Anthesis.In most project engagements, you would be supported by a more experienced senior as the project lead. Whilst this is primarily an Irish market focused role, you will work closely with colleagues and teams across the UK and EMEALA regions given the nature of Anthesis Group and how we operate regionally and globallyKey Responsibilities:Responsibilities fall into three major areas:Business Development – approx. 40% of timeKey Account Development – helping to guide and support deeper and longer-term partnerships with valuable and impactful clients over time.Proposal/Bid Writing & Presentation – discussing, framing, designing, pricing and presenting project proposals (with the guidance and support of colleagues) for a range of projects and sectors, often across multi-workstream programmes of work and involving colleagues and teams across our UK and EMEALA regions.Thought Leadership & Marketing – supporting the team and wider business in lead generation and brand-building through the creation and dissemination of IP and marketing materials, attending relevant events and forums, leveraging web and social media channels, and seeking out networking and business development opportunities.Client & Project Delivery – approx. 40% of timeProject Management – managing the delivery of agreed consulting engagements / projects on time, on budget, and to high standards of quality.Research & Analysis – gathering, synthesising and analysing sometimes large and diverse information-inputs, both qualitative and quantitative, primary and secondary, in pursuit of project objectives.Client Relationship Building – earning the confidence and trust of client teams, and representing our direct clients’ interests effectively inside their organisations.Deliverable Drafting & Presentation – preparing and delivering high quality reports, presentations, and sometimes workshops in line with project scope.Organisational & Personal Development – 20% of timeTraining & Personal Development – using the ACE (Anthesis Centre of Excellence) learning and development platform, and guided by your line manager.Line Management – supporting more junior colleagues to guide and manage their growth and performance within Anthesis.Strategic & Organisational Initiatives – contributing to important internal initiatives, proposition development and innovation.Recruitment – contributing to growing the team through recruitmentKey RequirementsWe believe that great contributors can come from various backgrounds, and we welcome those shifting into the sustainability space from adjacent fields. As guidance, at this level, we’d typically look for:3-8 years’ experience in strategy consulting, or related consulting discipline (such as innovation, organisational design, change management).Or 3-8 years’ experience in-house, in a related organisational function / field.ESG / sustainability focused experience is strongly preferred, but not essential for those who bring other relevant skills.However, awareness and familiarity with the key concepts, issues and frameworks of sustainability and ESG is expected.Good working familiarity with MS Office Suite is required, with high levels of numeracy and good Excel skills preferred.Personal QualitiesStrategy consulting is a demanding and multifaceted discipline, and great candidates will display a blend of different strengths.
