We are seeking a skilled and reliable Evening Chef to oversee the preparation and service of meals at a large facility.
This is a solo-working role ideal for someone who thrives independently and takes pride in maintaining high standards of food quality and hygiene.
Job Requirements
* Prepare, cook, and serve high-quality meals for evening service
* Manage kitchen operations during the shift, including food prep and cleaning
* Evaluate compliance with food safety and hygiene standards at all times
* Maintain accurate records as required (e.g. temperature checks, wastage)
* Monitor stock levels and report any shortages or maintenance needs
* Work collaboratively with daytime staff for smooth handover and continuity
Essential Skills
* Proven experience as a Chef or Cook in a professional kitchen
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
* Strong knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene practices
* Good communication skills and a proactive attitude
* Relevant catering qualifications or food hygiene certificates (Level 2 minimum preferred)
* Flexibility and reliability to work the stated shift pattern consistently
