Hours: Monday to Friday – 39 hours full time
Duration: Permanent
Pay scale: €56,195.73 to €68,655.30 per annum (depending on previous relevant verified experience)
Job Purpose
To support the Head of Quality, Risk and Compliance in delivering safe, effective, and person-centred care through robust quality, risk, and patient safety systems. To lead the collection, analysis, and reporting of quality and safety data to drive continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and enhance quality, risk, and patient safety data systems, including electronic platforms (e.g. QPulse), ensuring accuracy, integrity, and effective reporting.
Analyse and trend data on incidents, complaints, audits, and risks to inform improvements and organisational learning.
Support incident management processes, including reporting, investigation, and compliance with national frameworks and standards.
Develop dashboards, reports, and insights for senior management and relevant committees.
Contribute to policy development, audit programmes, and quality improvement initiatives.
Promote a culture of safety, risk awareness, and continuous improvement across the organisation.
Support complaints management and deputise for the Head of QRC when required.
Provide training and guidance to staff on quality, safety, and compliance practices.
Essential Criteria
Significant experience in healthcare quality, patient safety, and data management.
Proven experience with electronic quality management systems, data analysis, and reporting tools.
Strong understanding of risk management, incident management, and regulatory compliance.
Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
High-level written and verbal communication skills, including report writing.
Proficiency in MS Office and database management systems.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with senior stakeholders.
Knowledge of healthcare standards, legislation, and the Irish healthcare system.
