Role Description
The Café Manager will oversee the daily operations of the café at Ballina RSL, ensuring exceptional service delivery and guest satisfaction. This full‑time, on‑site role involves managing staff, coordinating schedules, overseeing inventory, ensuring compliance with food safety and health regulations, and maintaining operational efficiency. The Café Manager will also assist in developing menus, monitoring financial performance, and driving overall customer engagement and service excellence. The position is based in Ballina.
Qualifications
Experience in staff management, including scheduling, team leadership, and conflict resolution
Knowledge of food safety standards, health regulations, and café operations
Skills in inventory management, stock control, and supplier relationships
Proficiency in financial performance monitoring and budgeting
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with an ability to foster lasting relationships with guests
Ability to work in a fast‑paced, on‑site environment and effectively manage time and resources
Experience in the hospitality or food & beverage industry is preferred
Formal qualifications in hospitality management or a related field are advantageous
