We are seeking an experienced financial professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing client portfolios, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Client Portfolio Management:
* Act as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients across various sectors.
* Build and maintain strong relationships through regular communication and support.
* Provide timely and accurate financial advice tailored to client needs.
2. Financial Record Keeping & Compliance:
* Oversee and review record-keeping processes and ensure all returns are completed accurately and in line with current legislation.
* Process payroll for clients using designated software.
* Review work processed by junior staff members.
3. Financial Reporting:
* Prepare year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and small limited companies.
* Ensure all statutory deadlines are met and working papers are accurate and well-documented.
4. Audit Support:
* Prepare and review audit files in accordance with professional standards and internal procedures.
* Liaise with senior auditors during planning and review phases.
5. Staff Supervision & Training:
* Delegate tasks effectively to junior staff, providing clear instructions and support.
* Deliver informal training and mentoring on financial record keeping, reporting, and software usage.
* Review work completed by junior staff, providing feedback and development guidance.
6. Quality Control & Improvement:
* Ensure compliance with internal controls, firm policies, and relevant professional standards.
* Identify opportunities for process improvements and suggest enhancements.
