Commissioning Lead – Data Centres (Dublin)
We are currently seeking an experienced
Commissioning Lead
to take full responsibility for the delivery of
Mechanical and Electrical commissioning
on a large-scale, mission-critical data centre project in Dublin. This is a senior, site-based role with end-to-end ownership of the commissioning process from early design review through to Integrated Systems Testing (IST), client acceptance, and final handover.
You will lead multidisciplinary teams, coordinate multiple vendors, and manage complex interfaces to ensure all systems are commissioned safely, compliantly, and in line with programme requirements.
Role Overview
* Lead and manage the integrated
MEP commissioning strategy
from early design through to handover
* Develop, maintain, and manage the
commissioning programme
, aligned with overall project milestones
* Provide strategic oversight of commissioning risks, interfaces, and dependencies
* Lead and coordinate all Mechanical and Electrical commissioning activities, including vendor-led packages
* Act as the primary commissioning interface with clients, vendors, and subcontractors
* Plan, manage, and attend
FATs, SATs, FWTs, and Integrated Systems Testing (IST)
* Chair and lead daily, weekly, and milestone commissioning meetings
* Ensure commissioning activities comply with
EHS, QA/QC, and AP requirements
* Oversee safe systems of work during commissioning and energisation
* Manage the preparation, review, and close-out of all commissioning documentation
* Issue regular commissioning progress reports to senior project stakeholders

Electrical Systems
* LV / MV / HV systems
* Switchgear, UPS, generators, protection systems
* Electrical testing, verification, and phased energisation
Mechanical Systems
* HVAC systems
* Chilled water, pumps, and controls
* Fire protection, fuel oil, and process water systems
Skills & Experience
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or equivalent trade qualification
* 10+ years' experience
in commissioning roles within construction environments
* Proven leadership experience on
data centre, pharmaceutical, industrial, or mission-critical projects
* Strong technical knowledge of
electrical and mechanical systems commissioning
* Extensive experience with
Integrated Systems Testing (IST)
* Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple vendors
* Strong programme management, reporting, and stakeholder communication skills
* Calm, decisive leader comfortable operating in live, high-risk environments
