The Client:
Our client, a leading banks in Ireland, is looking for a highly motivated and experiencedScala Spark Developerto work in Dublin, Ireland.

What you are expected to have:
* 5+ years of experience in Big Data technologies.
* Strong hands-on experience with Spark and Scala for large-scale data processing.
* Experience in Java development for data-intensive applications.
* Exposure to real-time data processing (Spark Streaming) is a plus.
* Familiarity with Cloudera CDP and Apache Iceberg/Ozone is beneficial.
* Understanding of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing for data engineering workflows.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet agreed objectives.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
What you will do:
* Develop, optimize, and maintainSpark-based data pipelinesusingScala.
* Work with Big Data technologies to build scalable and high-performance data solutions.
* Implement real-time data processingsolutions usingSpark Streaming.
* Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to improve data transformation and processing workflows.
* Optimize Spark jobs for performance and scalability.
* Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance in large-scale distributed environments.
* Work with Apache Iceberg & Ozone for data lake management and storage optimization.
* Participate in code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting of production issues.
* Develop and maintain technical documentationfor data workflows.
