Job Title: Energy Operations Manager
We are looking for an experienced Energy Operations Manager to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of the Amazon Energy Procurement Operations (EPO) team, you will be responsible for managing our portfolio of energy agreements and renewable power purchase agreements.
About the Role
* You will own the assigned portfolio of energy agreements and renewable power purchase agreements.
* You will take part in shaping and implementing EPO programs to meet organizational goals and success metrics.
* You will plan and drive execution of initiatives to improve our energy operations and continuously seek to invent and simplify to achieve further scale effects for Amazon's management of its energy portfolio.
* You will act as a subject matter expert on executed renewable energy agreements in designated markets and own the management of contractual obligations with counterparties.
About the Team
The Amazon Energy Procurement Operations (EPO) team is responsible for managing energy supply contracts post-execution, providing controllership for financial and operational performance, and ensuring our supply portfolio is compliant with external regulations, contract obligations, and internal policies.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) required.
- 5-7 years of experience in managing cross-functional projects, initiatives, and teams.
- 3-5 years of experience working in the utility/energy industry in Europe and the Middle East - compliance, regulatory, asset/contract management, settlements, market operations, or similar.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree (MBA/MS) preferred.
- Experience in managing transactions, supplier/contract management, and commercial relationships.
- Experience with large datasets, reporting, and leveraging technology to drive process improvements.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, plan/track timelines, develop automated tools, and interface with senior leadership and stakeholders; strong communication and problem-solving skills.
