Full –Time Permanent Position.Location: Bawnmore, Limerick City.Candidates for appointment must:Statutory Registration, Professional Qualifications, Experience:(i) Be registered with CORU, the regulator for health and social care professional, and eligible for membership of the Irish Association of Speech and Language Therapists (I.A.S.L.T.).(ii) Provide proof of Statutory Registration on the Speech & Language Therapist Register maintained by the Speech & Language Therapists Registration Board at CORU before a contract of employment can be issued.Essential to the Post:A dysphagia qualification or equivalent as outlined in "Standards of Practice for Speech & Language Therapists on the Management of Feeding, Eating, Drinking and Swallowing Disorders (Dysphagia)" Irish Association of Speech & Language Therapists (IASLT) 2012 is essential for this post. Fluency in verbal and written English an essential requirement of this post. Desirable to the Post:Have experience (including student placements) working with people with an intellectual disabilityHave experience (including student placements) working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to support families and staffHave experience with AAC including certification in e.g. Lámh. Knowledge of or experience e.g. Hanen programmes, Intensive Interaction. Demonstrate clinical knowledge and understanding of SLT evidence based practices working with adults with intellectual disability, physical disabilities and autism.
