We are seeking an experienced and technically adept Engineering Manager to lead and grow two dynamic teams responsible for our core data infrastructure and user-facing applications. This is a pivotal role combining technical oversight, people management, and cross-functional collaboration.
You will manage:
* Team A: Focused on Oracle, Oracle APEX, Pandas (Python), and Elasticsearch
* Team B: Focused on React,, and C
Key Responsibilities:
People Management
* Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers across two streams.
* Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development planning.
* Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance culture across both teams.
Project & Technical Leadership
* Coordinate roadmaps, sprint planning, and delivery timelines across both teams.
* Ensure architectural and code quality across both backend and frontend stacks.
* Support decision-making around technical trade-offs and scaling challenges.
* Drive documentation, testing, and process improvement initiatives.
Cross-Team Collaboration
* Work closely with Product, UI/UX and DevOps to ensure timely and effective delivery.
* Serve as a bridge between the two teams to manage interdependencies.
* Represent engineering in leadership meetings and contribute to strategic planning.
Delivery & Operations
* Own project delivery milestones, code review practices, and risk mitigation.
* Improve monitoring, performance, and stability of both internal and external systems.
* Support incident response and reviews as needed.
Key Technologies
Team A Stack:
* Oracle Database & Oracle APEX
* Pandas (Python) for data pipeline
* Elasticsearch for indexed search
* Looker for analytics
Team B Stack:
* React (frontend UI development)
* (API and backend logic)
* C (low-level/agent-side integration)
Required Qualifications
* 10+ years of experience in software engineering with 5+ years in a similar engineering management role.
* Strong technical understanding of both backend and frontend development.
* Hands-on experience with at least one of the following: Oracle stack, modern frontend frameworks (e.g. React), backend services (e.g. or Python).
* Proven track record of managing and scaling cross-functional teams.
* Experience in agile methodologies, sprint management, and delivery tracking.
Nice to Have
* Familiarity with Oracle APEX development workflows or Oracle DB tuning.
* Understanding of low-level C applications or agent-based software models.
* Prior experience working with Elasticsearch at scale.
* Background in compliance, telemetry, or anti-piracy software environments.
