Production Supervisor
An exciting new Production Supervisory opportunity has arisen with our client, a vital organ therapy company on a mission to extend lives and expand possibilities for patients and care teams everywhere. For 70 years, their team has driven meaningful innovations in kidney care making life-saving products.
As a Production Supervisor, you will be a leader, willing to listen and encourage others by your actions You will appreciate the stability of a large multinational company with a long history of growth and success. Our client has opportunities on their Evening Shifts (Shift salary premiums inclusive). As a Production Supervisor, you will be directly involved in the physical production that enables our client to fulfil their mission. You will own the line between meeting production timelines and making quality products. As a manager, you are the trusted critical connection between the business and the workers on the floor.

What You'll Be Doing
* Accountable for the production activities of the department assigned to you including :-
* Developing strong and effective working relationships with cross functional departments i.e. Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Human Resources, Finance and Product Development to ensure all have a clear understanding of expectations and KPI's within your department
* Able to make effective and timely decisions for Product Rejects and Process Stops and Deliver accurate and timely information on departments performance to Managers and communicate during Tier Meetings
* Safety, Quality, Cost and Customer Service targets
* Continuous improvement of set KPI's within your departments
* Responsible for maintaining high standards in relation to EH&S, 6S, GMP and housekeeping of your department
* Drive and support project improvement activities as the need arises
* This position is a 6 -8 month contract on a B shift – ( 4pm to 12 am, or 5 pm to 1 am)
What You'll Bring
* An ability to drive results including Safety, Quality, Cost and service delivery
* Demonstrable strong interpersonal skills with team including development, training, ACE reviews and feedback
* An ability to portray a professional and positive approach and lead by example
* Expertise in performance management of team including Absence, Time Keeping and general conduct
* Excellent communication skills (Verbal and Written)
* Experience of working in a Manufacturing / Production environment and knowledge of GMP
* An ability to access and interpret information relating to departments performance including efficiency and overtime
Education/ Qualifications
* 3rd Level qualification -preferably in an engineering discipline (Desirable)
