The Back Dock Operative works with management and staff to provide the best possible service to customers and stores. A successful candidate has strong product knowledge, delivers outstanding customer service, helps create a great customer experience, and is enthusiastic about helping the team perform to high standards.

Your Responsibilities
* Operate and maintain a clean backdock; maintain a safe and secure working environment.
* Provide high standards of customer service and act professionally at all times.
* Check all deliveries to ensure goods are accurate and in good condition.
* Follow Goods Receiving and Dispatching procedures at all times.
* Protect and secure Harvey Norman stock.
* Understand department action plans and support manager goals.
* Adhere to company performance standards and Health & Safety policies in the warehouse.
* Perform other ad hoc duties as required to fulfill the Backdock Operative role.
Your Knowledge, Skills and Experience
* Leaving Cert or equivalent is required.
* Forklift training preferred.
* Experience in a customer-focused, fast-paced environment (warehousing, construction or retail).
* 1-3 years warehousing, construction or retail experience preferred.
* Picker certification advantageous but not essential.
* Knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word, Outlook, Excel).
* Strong customer focus with the ability to deliver high-quality service.
* Excellent communication and listening skills.
* Numerical and logical ability; comfortable working with numbers.
* Hardworking, conscientious, self-motivated; able to work under pressure.
* Flexible and adaptable to change; able to work across teams.
* Team player who can collaborate with colleagues to achieve goals.
* Attention to detail and good organisational skills.
* Honest and ethical in all dealings.

Additional Information
* This is a full-time 11-month fixed-term contract with potential for permanency.
* You may be required to work in other departments/warehouses/stores as necessary.
* Flexibility to cover store opening hours, including days, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
* The successful candidate will attend a company induction day.
* Please note this role requires a significant amount of manual handling.
