Job Title: Fraud Specialist Job Description We are an operations team looking for candidates who can apply a diverse toolkit of data analysis, internal and open-source tools, and investigative work to combat payments fraud and protect users and business partners.
We seek agents to support our team and directly work with end users to resolve live time tickets.
Responsibilities Become an expert in the adversarial ecosystem in our payment products and stay up to date on the latest product fraud trends.
Analyze large datasets to identify meaningful signals and patterns that correlate with fraud and abuse.
Use in-house tools to label images, signals, and payments based on existing protocols.
Make informed decisions on difficult cases and provide relevant feedback to improve the specificity of review protocols.
Identify new fraud trends and adversarial behaviours; and collaborate with our business process team to improve fraud detection capabilities.
Partner with team members to improve processes and tools of the team's labelling interface.
Essential Skills BS or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Intelligence Studies, Cybersecurity, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Administration, Criminal Justice, or Accounting.
3+ years of work experience in online fraud investigations, trust and safety, and/or cybersecurity.
Experience in data review and/or machine learning labelling.
Ability to manipulate raw datasets in Excel and interpret data from charts, graphs, and other analytical visualizations.
Experience mitigating time-sensitive escalations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to think critically and qualify assessments with strong presentation, documentation, and organizational skills.
Ability to work with a team spanning multiple locations/time zones.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, adapt to changes, and prioritize competing requests.
2+ years of work experience performing open-ended analysis and developing practical business insights and recommendations.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and/or Google Suite.
