At Elk Recruitment, we are looking for a Health & Safety Manager to work for our client based in Dublin/Leinster area. This is a great opportunity for someone to work with a leading subcontractor in the construction industry and make an impact in an innovative and growing organisation. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing, implementing, and overseeing health and safety policies and procedures that align with current regulations and best practices.
Your new role includes:
Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures
Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of the workplace
Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective measures
Conduct training sessions and workshops to promote safety awareness
Investigate incidents and accidents to determine causes and preventive measures
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal health and safety regulations
Collaborate with management and employees to foster a culture of safety
Experience you need:
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field
Certification in health and safety (e.g. NEBOSH, OSHA) is preferred
Ideally 5 years of experience within the Irish market
Full clean Irish driving licence
Proven experience as a Health and Safety Manager or similar role
In-depth knowledge of health and safety legislation and regulations
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
Excellent communication and leadership abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
