HR Executive - Cork
Excel Recruitment is excited to recruit an experienced HR Executive for our client’s hotel in Cork. This is a full-time, Monday-Friday role, offering an exciting opportunity to oversee the hotel’s day-to-day HR functions. Reporting directly to the General Manager and Group HR Manager, this position plays a key role in supporting employees, driving engagement, and ensuring compliance with HR best practices.
Salary: €35k - €45k
Responsibilities:
* Manage the day-to-day HR administration, ensuring smooth operations within the department
* Foster a positive and engaging work environment through transparent communication and employee engagement initiatives
* Support Heads of Department with all aspects of team management, including recruitment, training, performance management, and employee development
* Oversee the recruitment process, from advertising and screening to selection and onboarding
* Ensure all new employees receive comprehensive onboarding and training, creating a positive first experience
* Maintain accurate employee records, ensuring compliance and striving for a paperless HR department
* Monitor and ensure compliance with statutory training requirements, coordinating training sessions as needed
* Provide guidance on disciplinary and grievance procedures, ensuring fair processes and adherence to company policies
* Submit weekly payroll and manage absenteeism effectively
* Implement and deliver group-wide HR projects and initiatives
Requirements:
* HR qualification is desirable
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an HR role or department
* Strong knowledge of Irish employment law and HR best practices
* Excellent interpersonal, organisational, and leadership skills
* High level of emotional intelligence, with the ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic hospitality environment
