About the Role
We are seeking an experienced
Land Acquisition Manager
to play a key role in the delivery of large-scale renewable energy projects across Ireland. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing industry, where you'll be responsible for
securing and managing third-party land rights
to support the successful development and construction of renewable infrastructure.
In this role, you will lead negotiations with landowners, secure essential agreements (options, leases, wayleaves, easements), and build strong relationships that enable projects to move from concept through to completion. You'll work closely with legal, project management, and development teams, ensuring that land acquisition is carried out
efficiently, strategically, and commercially
.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver effective
landowner negotiation strategies
for renewable energy and infrastructure projects.
* Negotiate and finalise complex agreements including options, leases, wayleaves, and easements.
* Represent the company in securing
viable and cost-effective land deals
that enable project progression.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with landowners, tenant farmers, and land managers, ensuring transparent communication throughout the process.
* Liaise with internal and external legal advisors, project managers, consultants, and joint venture partners to progress agreements to execution.
* Oversee title investigations, valuations, and due diligence relating to land acquisition.
* Ensure all activities are compliant with relevant property law, governance standards, health & safety, and environmental policies.
* Maintain accurate records of negotiations, agreements, risks, and project status.
* Support renewable energy teams and joint venture partners in achieving land acquisition goals for project pipelines.
About You
* Degree in
Land Management, Agriculture, Property, Business, or related discipline
(Level 8 equivalent).
* Minimum
6 years' professional experience
in land acquisition, agriculture, forestry, property, or project management.
* Strong understanding of
Irish Property Law
and relevant legal documentation.
* Proven track record of successfully
negotiating land agreements
.
* Knowledge of
renewable energy projects
and sustainable land management practices is highly desirable.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
* Organised, detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Resilient, diplomatic, and confident in managing sensitive issues.
* Full driving licence and access to own vehicle.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to interpret maps and technical documentation.
