M&E Quantity Surveyor – Mechanical & Electrical Construction – Dublin, Ireland – Tier One International Main Contractor – €75,000 – €90,000 + Bonus + Pension + 26 Days Leave + CPD
Role
The M&E Quantity Surveyor will join the commercial team and take responsibility for the financial management of mechanical and electrical packages on major construction projects.
Working closely with project managers, engineers and subcontractors, you will ensure that building services works are delivered within budget while maintaining high standards of commercial control and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Managing cost control, measurement and valuation of mechanical and electrical packages throughout the project lifecycle
Preparing and negotiating contracts and subcontracts for M&E works
Monitoring project budgets, forecasts and cash flow to ensure strong financial performance
Assessing and processing interim valuations, variations, claims and final accounts
Supporting procurement strategies for mechanical and electrical subcontractors
Liaising with project managers, consultants and subcontractors to ensure commercial objectives are achieved
Maintaining accurate commercial records, cost reports and financial analysis
Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, company policies and construction regulations
Identifying commercial risks and opportunities to improve cost efficiency across projects
Qualifications
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline
Proven experience working as a Quantity Surveyor with a focus on mechanical and electrical packages
Strong understanding of building services systems, drawings and specifications
Experience on large scale construction projects such as commercial, infrastructure, data centre or life sciences developments
Strong knowledge of procurement, cost management and contract administration
Familiarity with construction contracts such as NEC and JCT
Excellent analytical, commercial and negotiation skills
Ability to manage multiple packages and deadlines within a fast paced project environment
