ABOUT THE ROLE
The Supply Chain and Material Planner will be responsible for the coordination and execution of all activities related to planning and purchase of excipients, devices and components. They will also oversee operational supply chain activities covering procurement, expediting and logistics. This role is integral to a team that optimizes material flow from order to release while considering warehouse capacities and inventory targets. The individual will collaborate closely with finance, legal, project managers, global supply chain, engineering, and operations.
Main missions
Material Planner
Ensure the procurement process is properly conducted from creating suppliers and part numbers, raising and placing POs, to receiving payment by collaborating with technical team, supply chain managers, global planner, category manager and finance.
Collaborate with the category manager, coordinate and manage supplier agreements and contracts where applicable; identify potential constraints and interface with key internal stakeholders to ensure issue resolution.
Plan material delivery schedules with suppliers in alignment with the global planner to meet sales requirements.
Maintain raw materials and component inventories within target, while minimizing excess, obsolete and expired materials.
Partner with Category Manager to drive supplier performance improvement, including quality and on‑time delivery in line with production requirements.
Pro‑actively support resolution of invoice queries by being the main interface to finance.
Supply Chain
Lead supply chain for designated projects.
Build the supply chain project plan, global cost model and project cash flow for decision making.
Manage procurement of raw materials with vendors and plan production with manufacturers to ensure on‑time and in‑full delivery.
Challenge material and production costs and lead times (raw materials, shipping, inventory).
Coordinate shipping of goods in cooperation with the global and local freight manager.
Track actual supply, production and shipment vs planned.
Ensure ERP system is properly updated.
Inventory management
Conduct monthly inventory (ERP report).
Monitor slow and obsolete items with the objective of staying within defined target.
Expertise & Continuous improvement
Identify issues and opportunities for improvement in the supply chain team and process.
Lead transformation projects with cross‑functional teams to improve processes and tools.
Other duties as assigned by direct manager.
ABOUT YOU
You are/have:
Education and/or Experience
Degree in Procurement, Business, Purchasing or related disciplines.
3‑5 years’ experience in a Supply Chain, Material Planner or related role.
Skills
Good planning and organizational skills.
Proactive & problem‑solving oriented.
Flexible approach and ability to work well under pressure.
Ability to multi‑task and meet deadlines.
Team player, ability to work with other departments, build relationships, and strong communication skills.
Good command of both spoken and written English.
Advanced user of MS Excel.
Previous experience with ERPs and particularly Dynamics 365.
