Senior Structural Engineer – Liverpool
About the Role
Are you a Chartered or nearly Chartered Structural Engineer looking for a dynamic consultancy opportunity? We're partnering with a well‑established engineering practice offering a diverse portfolio of new build and refurbishment projects. You'll be integral from planning stages through to delivery, with wide-ranging responsibility and real project ownership.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Conduct nationwide structural surveys, producing clear, actionable reports on building condition and structural integrity.
* Prepare supporting calculations and sketches; familiarity with Eurocodes and British Standards expected.
* Review and interpret site investigation data, identifying and resolving structural challenges.
* Deliver structural designs for both refurbishment and new builds, covering foundations and superstructure elements.
* Attend and represent the client at design and stakeholder meetings.
* Mentor and guide junior engineers and technicians, fostering development and teamwork.
* Maintain your Continued Professional Development (CPD) under IStructE guidelines.
* Stay alert to structural safety updates, including CROSS advisories.
* Contribute to business development initiatives.
What We’re Looking For
* Chartered or near-Chartered status with the Institution of Structural Engineers and/or Institution of Civil Engineers.
* BSc/BEng (or equivalent) from an ICE-approved programme.
* Proficient in AutoCAD, with knowledge of Tekla or Revit a plus (but not essential).
* Clean driving licence and flexible availability for overnight travel

* £48,000 - £55,000 DOE
