Opportunities for hybrid work are available.Primary Responsibilities of the Associate Director Business ProcessLead Operations Excellence initiatives, applying strategic thinking, strong relationship building, and advanced problem‑solving skills.Communicate progress and results to UHCPI Leadership, Optum, and external partners.Convert business statistics into actionable initiatives that impact provider experience and operations, identifying risks.Articulate vision and capability roadmaps, challenge the status quo, and provide alternative solutions.Continuously identify and implement process improvements to enhance the Waste and Error Program.Utilize data and analytics to monitor KPIs and make data‑driven decisions.Lead specific strategic projects/initiatives and track all initiatives within the overall strategy.Conduct reviews and joint goal‑planning sessions with partners.Build and promote relationships with Business Operations Leaders.Collaborate with peer teams: Data analysts, Project Management, Product Management, Operations Leaders.Provide project direction and performance feedback to Leadership.Anticipate customer needs, proactively develop and deliver solutions, and report out appropriately.Required Qualifications of the Associate Director Business ProcessBachelor's degree with relevant experience in operations management, performance monitoring, change management, and strategy development.Solid communication skills and experience communicating at senior leadership levels.Demonstrated project ownership, management, drive, and delivery.Stakeholder management experience dealing with multiple stakeholders and forming effective partnerships.Strong business acumen, with the ability to strategically consult with the business.Effective written and oral communication skills.Proven extensive operations experience in a management/leadership role.Extensive experience developing strong relationships at various levels of the business.Experience monitoring department goals.Preferred Qualifications of the Associate Director Business ProcessKnowledge of the U.S. insurance/healthcare industry.Experience with Payment Integrity business or healthcare financial services.Experience in healthcare industry, either from a pharmaceutical or consulting background.Significant experience in data analytics, ideally with healthcare-related data (e.g., medical claims) or in a Business Operations environment.Experience identifying and driving innovation or related functions.Please note you must currently be eligible to work in Ireland without restrictions; proof will be required.At UnitedHealth Group, our mission is to help people live healthier lives and make the health system work better for everyone.
