Job Description:

Responsibilities include:
* Motivating and supporting service users in planned activities of their choice.
* Supporting personal care and daily needs of service users.
* Promoting independence and community integration as per New Directions (HSE, 2012).
* Educating oneself about each service user, listening, and using reflective practice for continuous improvement.
* Participating as a key worker under guidance.
* Working as part of a team, supporting colleagues, attending meetings, and engaging in supervisions.
* Upholding confidentiality in line with GDPR.
* Managing medication in accordance with policies.
* Liaising with multidisciplinary teams, families, and others involved.
* Carrying out health and safety observations and reporting.
* Contributing to person-centred planning and follow-up actions.
* Supporting service users in daily life and decision-making.
* Reporting concerns about welfare, safety, and health.
* Accurate record-keeping according to standards.
* Supporting behavior management plans for concerns.
* Participating in audits and ensuring compliance.
* Following financial procedures and reporting discrepancies.
* Building positive relationships with families and community.
* Developing professional rapport with colleagues.
* Creating community engagement opportunities.
* Supporting volunteer, employment, and educational pursuits.
* Attending mandatory and developmental training.
* Engaging in supervision and reflective practice for growth.
* Performing other duties as required within the scope of social care work.
Qualifications include:
* Minimum Level 7 qualification in Applied Social Care or relevant field.
* Full driver's license with at least two years' experience.
* Currently undertaking or holding a CORU-recognized Social Care Qualification.
