Maintenance Manager Job Description
This is a challenging role that requires a skilled and experienced professional to lead the site's engineering function.
* Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) for planned and preventative maintenance, reaction time to breakdowns, and cost control.
* Manage and direct day-to-day operations of the Maintenance team, including determining needed repairs and improvements, establishing project priorities, and assigning work tasks.
* Plan scheduled work and respond accordingly to unforeseen work activity, ensuring the competence of the engineering team to meet these requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* 5+ years recent experience within a similar role in a Maintenance or Engineering environment, preferably within a food manufacturing industry.
* Time served or third-level qualification in a mechanical or electrical discipline.
* Previous experience of managing a large engineering team and delivering large projects in a complex industrial and technical environment.
* Excellent communication skills, accompanied by leadership and interpersonal skills.
* Strong people management skills with the ability to build, mentor, and motivate.
* Highly motivated and proactive with the ability to multitask.
