About Your New Job as Production Manager:
* Oversee all production cells (Small Batch, Large Batch, Solvents, Tank Farm, Organics, Metals, TOC) to meet targets.
* Ensure accurate and forward planning with strict adherence to ATP commitments.
* Manage the Production QC Inspector, ensuring data collection and reporting align with the Quality Management System.
* Implement projects to reduce manufacturing costs, enhance technology use, and introduce lean business concepts.
* Involve in activities related to the production of certified reference materials, ensuring compliance with ISO17034.
* Plan human, material, and equipment resources for production.
* Ensure company policies, procedures, housekeeping, and health and safety rules are followed.
* Coach, motivate, and train direct reports to meet and exceed goals.
* Lead or contribute to special projects as required.
* Contribute significantly to the strategic planning of the business to enhance organizational effectiveness.
* Perform other duties as required by the Operations Director.
What Skills You Need for Production Manager:
* Minimum of 5 years in a senior role in a production facility
* In-depth understanding of production processes, lean principles, and the laboratory supplies industry.
* BSc in Science, preferably Chemistry.
* A lean qualification is desirable.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, flexibility, wide skill base, team player, innovative thinker, and multi-tasker.
