Job Description
The People Operations Specialist plays a key role in supporting and improving the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, performance management, payroll coordination, HR systems, compliance, and reporting. The role ensures consistent, data-driven HR operations aligned with company goals, supporting both employees and managers in creating an efficient, policy-compliant workplace.
Key Responsibilities
* Employee Lifecycle and Processes: Lead onboarding and offboarding, ensuring timely documentation, system access, and payroll updates. Track key milestones such as probation reviews, performance check-ins, and contract changes. Administer all leave types (e.g., maternity, parental, force majeure) in compliance with policies and legislation.
* HR Systems and Data: Maintain HR systems and personnel records, ensuring accuracy and GDPR compliance. Act as the Timepoint lead, managing leave requests and attendance. Support implementation and optimization of HR systems.
* Reporting and Insights: Produce reports on headcount, turnover, sick leave, and other KPIs. Prepare data-driven presentations for internal stakeholders and leadership updates. Assist the HR team in using data to support people-related decisions and initiatives.
* Payroll and Compensation: Liaise with Finance to provide accurate payroll inputs (e.g., starters, leavers, changes). Review and validate monthly payroll data.
* Employee Support & Experience: Provide first-line support for HR queries from employees and managers. Manage official documentation requests (e.g., employment confirmations, visa letters). Assist with employee engagement, training workshops, and internal communications.
* Compliance and Policy: Ensure HR processes align with Irish employment law and internal policies. Support formal HR processes by taking notes in disciplinary or grievance meetings. Help update HR policies and documentation.
* Projects and Process Improvement: Assist the Head of HR in delivering projects across performance, DEI, talent, and engagement. Identify opportunities to automate and improve HR processes.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HR or related field.
* 1–2 years in a similar HR or People Operations role.
* Strong understanding of Irish employment law and HR best practices.
* Experience with HRIS/payroll systems and solid data/reporting skills.
* Detail-oriented, proactive, and strong communicator.
* Desirable: Experience with Timepoint or similar tools.
* Knowledge of payroll processes and benefits administration.
* Interest in HR analytics, engagement, or automation.
