Job Description
This rolemanages it's PM direct reports, ensures full governance and compliance, and acts as a key liaison with internal and external stakeholders.
This role combines programme-level oversight with hands-on support to ensure delivery excellence across the portfolio.
Responsibilities
Lead the planning, execution, and governance of a portfolio of asset management assigned, capital delivery projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
Ensure consistent application of project management standards and methodologies.
Oversee programme-level reporting, risk management, and assurance processes, escalating issues as appropriate in a pro-active and timely fashion.
Engage with stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and external partners to ensure alignment, transparency, and compliance.
Support the development and implementation of project execution plans, ensuring integration across disciplines and functions.
Lead the development and review of programme-level KPIs, performance dashboards, and reporting frameworks.
Provide commercial oversight, including contract strategy, procurement support, and change control governance.
Ensure compliance with daa's capital governance processes, including stage gate approvals and investment controls.
Lead, coach and develop a high-performance team of Project Managers.
Drive continuous improvement in project delivery, identifying and implementing best practices.
Support the Head of Civils & Structures in strategic planning, resource allocation, and portfolio prioritisation.
Qualifications
Experience
7-10 years of experience in construction project management, with a proven track record of delivering complex infrastructure projects.
Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and multiple concurrent projects.
Strong understanding of NEC contracts and contract administration.
Experience working in a client-side project management role.
Strong background in project governance, commercial management, and stakeholder engagement.
Demonstrated ability to manage risk, resolve issues, and drive performance across multiple projects

Proficiency in project management tools and systems (e.g., MS Project, Unifier, CEMAR).

Education & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in construction project management, Engineering, or a similar relevant discipline.
Training/Compliance Certification
PRINCE2 or equivalent ( preferential but not essential).
Professional Memberships
RICS, CIOB, APM, PMI or equivalent (preferential, but not essential).
