We are dedicated to supporting people living with Motor Neurone Disease (MND), their families and carers. 2025 marked 40 years of caring for the MND Community.Role DescriptionWe are recruiting for a Project Worker to coordinate the implementation of the IMNDA Community Hub. The Community Hub is a national peer-support initiative for people living with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) and their caregivers. The role will ensure a blended support model (combining a secure digital platform and in-person meetups) is accessible, inclusive, and impactful over the lifetime of the project.Key ResponsibilitiesThe position of Community Hub Project Worker includes, but is not limited to:Project CoordinationLead day-to-day delivery of the IMNDA Community Hub programmeManage timelines, track outputs, and ensure alignment with project goals and funder expectationsLiaise with internal IMNDA staff and external partnersDigital Platform Development & OversightWork with developers to launch and maintain a secure, accessible online hubModerate forums, virtual support groups, and peer interactions on the platformProvide ongoing digital tech support and onboarding assistance to usersRegional Events ManagementOrganise 6-8 in person peer support meetups per year across Ireland, ensuring national reach and rural accessCoordinate logistics including venues, travel, accessibility supports, and local partnershipsAttend events and support facilitation of peer activitiesCommunity EngagementBuild relationships with people living with MND, their caregivers, and extended networksPromote inclusive participation through active outreach and tailored supportsMonitoring & EvaluationGather user feedback through surveys, interviews, and focus groupsDocument learnings and suggest service improvementsContribute to six-monthly reports and a final evaluation for fundersEssential RequirementsMinimum 2 years' experience in community development, health services, or social careDemonstrated ability to manage projects or coordinate servicesStrong interpersonal and empathetic communication skillsAbility to maintain confidentiality in dealings with users of the hubComfortable with digital tools and online engagement platformsDemonstrate an understanding of the needs of the MND CommunityAbility to work independently and collaborativelyMaintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with the Data Protection Act and GDPR regulationsDesirable RequirementsLived or professional experience with disability, terminal illness, or carer support servicesExperience with peer-support models or group facilitationKnowledge of accessibility, inclusion, and rural outreach strategiesExperience in voluntary/charitable sectorGeneral/Additional InformationTravel will be required across Ireland for events (expenses reimbursed)Garda Vetting will be required for this postTraining and supervision will be providedThe post is funded under the Three Sisters Fund for three yearsUndertake additional tasks as reasonably requested by the CEO and Community & Engagement ManagerThis job description serves as a guideline and may be amended to meet the evolving needs of the IMNDA following discussions with the post holderBenefits25 days annual leave per annum or pro-rata equivalent, plus public holidays, Good Friday, and Christmas Eve.Defined Contribution Pension Scheme (post-probationary period).Cycle to Work Scheme.Employee Assistance Programme (EAP).Office shutdown period over Christmas.How to ApplyIf you would like to be considered for this position, please send a cover letter outlining your suitability, along with your CV to:Kevin Burn, CEOIMNDA, Merchants House, Merchants Quay, Dublin 8 D08 K3KDEmail:Closing date:Friday 13th February @ 4pm
