As Corporate Strategy Manager you will play a central role in shaping and delivering our enterprise-wide strategy agenda and driving real change across the business.
Candidates MUST have experience working with top four consultancy backgrounds to be considered.
Reporting directly to the Head of Strategy & Internal Communications, the role is primarily accountable for driving the annual strategy cycle end-to-end and for ensuring coherence, rigour and follow-through across Group and Market strategy activity, as well as targeted strategic projects throughout the year.
This is a hands-on, senior individual contributor role requiring strong judgement, independence and credibility with senior leaders. The successful candidate will operate as a trusted partner to the Leadership Team, Regional and Function all leaders, and will provide targeted support on strategic projects critical to delivery of our growth and transformation agenda.
Key accountabilities
Ownership of the annual strategy cycle and primary driver of the annual strategy process.
Planning and coordinating the annual strategy cycle across Group, Region and Market or business levels.
Designing, preparing and supporting:
strategy offsites
Leadership Conferences
Group, Regional and market/business planning processes
Board strategy discussions
Ensuring alignment, consistency and "joining the dots" across all strategy inputs and outputs.
Managing momentum and follow-through across phases of the process, adjusting approach as the cycle moves from design to challenge to execution.
Driving appropriate levels of content, stimulus, rigour and challenge at each stage, balancing hands-on delivery with senior-level sparring and synthesis.
Strategic thought leadership and external perspective
Maintain an up-to-date view of relevant market, industry and macro trends impacting the business.
Translate external insight into structured perspectives, scenarios and implications to inform strategic decision-making, scenario planning, and Board and leadership discussions.
Act as a thought partner and sounding board to senior stakeholders, providing clear, evidence-based challenge and direction.
Support to governance priorities
Provide strategy input and advisory support to Group functions and central teams as they deliver against strategic priorities, wide initiatives, and governance requirements.
Ensure strategic coherence across functional initiatives and alignment to overall Group direction.
Targeted strategic projects and transformation initiatives
Lead or support specific strategy or transformation projects on a targeted basis, which may sit at Group, Regional or market/business level.
Scope, structure and deliver discrete pieces of work that advance strategic priorities and drive change within the organisation.
Adapt working style according to project phase, from deep analytical build to senior stakeholder facilitation and execution with change management as needed.
Stakeholder engagement and influence
Work effectively across senior stakeholder groups at Group, Region and Market/Business level.
Build strong, trusting relationships with members and leaders at all levels.
Operate with confidence and credibility in senior forums, contributing clear thinking and structured insights.
Candidate profile
Minimum 8+ years’ experience in strategy roles, ideally gained in a top-tier consulting environment and/or in a highly complex, multinational organisation. MBA or equivalent advance degree an advantage but not required.
Demonstrated experience operating credibly with senior leadership teams and Boards.
Proven exposure to enterprise-wide strategy development, ideally including ownership of multi-phase strategy processes.
Experience across complex sectors is advantageous, but not essential.
