We are looking for a skilled Principal or Associate Technical Director in Fire Engineering to join our Dublin office, where you will form an integral part of our growing team of dynamic fire safety engineers.
In this role, you will be working collaboratively with a team of highly skilled fire safety engineers to design and implement fire safety measures across a wide portfolio of projects. The candidate will have the option to work remotely with infrequent travel to the Dublin office and to site as required.
Responsibilities:
* Developing fire engineering strategies
* Conducting fire risk assessments
* Liaising with project stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance
* Undertaking fire safety engineering work in Ireland, with potential support for design projects in the UK
* Development of Fire Safety Strategy reports through RIBA stages of Design
* Preparation of fire safety and disability access applications
* Means of escape Analysis (ASET) (RSET)
* Development of Fire Safety Management Plans and Fire Safety statements
* Inspection and assessment of existing buildings and infrastructure
* Assessment and understanding of Irish and UK fire safety legislation and standards applied to buildings, such as TG Document B, TG Document M, Approved Document B (AD B), BS, CIBSE Guide E
Qualifications & Experience:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Fire Engineering or related field (Open to Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, Civil Engineering, Scientific or other numeric degrees)
* Qualifications should be recognised by a professional engineering body
* Ideally a Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartership
* Proven experience (3-5 years and above) in fire engineering
* Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (e.g., NFPA, BS, EN)
