The Food Chemistry Analyst is responsible for analysing and testing food products to ensure their safety, quality, and compliance with regulatory standards.
This role involves using various scientific methods and techniques to examine the chemical composition of food, detect contaminants, and ensure consistency in production.
Full training will be provided to the successful candidate.
Key Responsibilities Perform work as allocated by Lab Manager to high standards of quality and inform them of any doubtful results.Ensure adherence to quality systems such as calibration checks, internal controls, daily checks, and spiked samples.Check and enter results into ALimS system promptly.Maintain laboratory tidiness, especially designated areas.Carry out all operations safely, complying with Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) regulations.Maintain confidentiality regarding customer information.07th May, 2025Qualifications & Skills Hold a Third Level Qualification (Degree) in a science-related discipline, ideally in Chemistry.Experience in laboratory testing is advantageous but not essential.Excellent PC literacy (Excel, Word).Analytical mindset with attention to detail.Keen interest in food science and food safety.Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team.Working at ALS Our people drive our success at ALS.
