A leading semi - state energy organisation is seeking a Senior Project Manager to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of low-carbon infrastructure. This is a high-impact position focused on advancing a diverse pipeline of cutting-edge projects, including battery energy storage, offshore wind, hydrogen and e-fuels, low-carbon inertia solutions, and other emerging technologies.The OpportunityThe successful candidate will bring senior-level technical and commercial expertise to projects through their commercial development phase, building strategic partnerships, progressing early-stage development, securing routes to market, and driving initiatives through to financial close. The role also involves steering development strategy, leading contract negotiations, managing joint ventures, and ensuring strong governance and reporting standards.Why This RoleThis is an opportunity to lead complex, future-focused projects that directly support the energy transition, working at the forefront of innovation with significant strategic influence.What's NeededHonours Degree in Engineering (or equivalent) with a recognised project management qualification desirable.7–10 years' experience at Project Manager level or similar.Strong technical and commercial understanding of electricity markets and grid services, particularly flexible technologies.Proven experience in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS); experience with synchronous condensers, gas turbines, substations, or contestable works is advantageous.Demonstrated expertise in project delivery, contract negotiation, stakeholder management, and reporting.Professional membership (e.g., Engineers Ireland or equivalent).Proficiency in MS Office and project management tools.Key ResponsibilitiesLead development activities across renewable and flexible technology projects, including technology assessment, site selection, planning strategy, and stakeholder consultation.Oversee robust financial modelling and support investor due diligence processes.Provide technical and commercial insight to support Energy Park style developments and identify new market opportunities.Develop and execute project delivery strategies, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.Manage risk, governance, and reporting while maintaining clear communication with senior stakeholders.Coordinate internal teams, external advisors, and regulatory bodies to secure planning, licensing, and permits.Lead procurement processes and negotiate key contracts to achieve strong commercial outcomes.Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.Please contact for a confidential chat.
