Role Summary
Based in Ireland, we are seeking a strategic and commercially astute Global Head to lead our Insurance business globally. This senior leadership role will drive the sector vision, shape go‑to‑market strategy, strengthen domain capability, and scale delivery across core markets including Ireland, the UK, and the US. The ideal candidate will bring deep industry knowledge, strong executive presence, and a proven track record of leading global growth in IT and consulting services.
Key Responsibilities
* Sector Leadership & Strategy
o Define and execute the global strategy for Insurance in alignment with corporate objectives.
o Drive multi‑year growth plans across Tier 1 and Tier 2 insurers, brokers, reinsurers, lessors etc. and other such entities.
o Develop differentiated propositions in areas such as underwriting transformation, claims automation, risk & compliance, policy administration, and aircraft asset lifecycle management.
* Client Engagement & Business Growth
o Personally lead strategic relationships with key Insurance clients within Version 1, driving account growth, stakeholder mapping, and multi‑tower engagement.
o Leverage existing executive relationships from prior roles with insurance clients to accelerate entry and credibility.
o Build and nurture executive relationships with CIOs, COOs, Chief Underwriters, Heads of Claims, and other Insurance leaders. This requires regular interaction with key leaders at the client site.
o Represent the company at global industry forums such as ITIC, IASA, NAIC etc. events in Dublin and New York.
* Solution & Capability Development
o Collaborate with practices (Data, Cloud, AI, Digital) and domain teams to develop in‑house techno‑function solutions and packaged business capabilities.
o Own existing Insurtech and related techno‑function partnerships to expand Version 1 offerings.
o Explore, qualify and expand creation of packaged business capabilities across other core platforms (e.g. Guidewire, Duck Creek, Sapiens, Majesco, ServiceNow FSO or Salesforce FSC) based on alignment with Version 1’s GTM strategy.
o Lead the creation of accelerators and reusable assets for regulatory remediation, intelligent claims, ESG reporting, and aircraft asset optimisation.
* Global Delivery & People Leadership
o Oversee a globally distributed delivery team and ensure high‑quality program execution.
o Mentor regional domain leaders and support leadership hiring across key markets.
o Foster a high‑performance culture focused on innovation, excellence, and client outcomes.
* Financial Management
o Own global P&L for Insurance.
o Drive revenue growth, margin improvement, and account expansion through consultative selling and delivery excellence.
Qualifications
* Required Experience & Skills
o Extensive experience in the insurance market, with proven experience in leadership role(s).
o Proven experience in growing and leading global teams across consulting, transformation, or managed services.
o Strong understanding of global insurance markets (Insurance Brokers, Life & Pensions, P&C, Reinsurance).
o Prior experience engaging with clients in Ireland, UK, US, and continental Europe.
o Familiarity with regulatory frameworks including EIOPA, NAIC, Solvency II, IFRS 17, and ESG reporting standards.
* Preferred Qualifications
o Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Business, Insurance, Finance, or Technology.
o Experience with M&A advisory, captives setup, or digital innovation programs in the Insurance sector.
o Deep exposure to platform modernisation, AI/ML adoption, and cloud transformations.
