Job Description
1. Operational Responsibilities
Ensure and maintain a high standard of cleaning in all non-classified areas.
* Work independently or alongside staff in designated areas as required.
* Take responsibility for cleaning equipment: proper usage, care, maintenance, and reporting of faults.
* Conduct regular checks of cleaning cupboards/rooms to ensure cleanliness, safety, and order.
* Manage stock control, including the ordering, receiving, and safe storage of cleaning supplies and equipment.
* Support with the delivery and distribution of incoming orders of consumables and chemicals.
* Perform internal cleaning audits (at least weekly) and ensure corrective actions are followed up.
* Ensure cleaning cupboards/rooms are locked and accessible only to authorized personnel.
* Supervise staff performance, motivation, discipline, and welfare in close cooperation with the site management team.
* Ensure adherence to Health and Safety standards, promoting safe work practices and compliance with procedures on site.
* Issue and monitor the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
* Complete accident/incident reports in the absence of a manager or senior supervisor.
* Assist or oversee additional functions such as uniform/workwear distribution, mailroom operations, waste disposal, and industrial crew activities, if required.
* Provide on-the-floor support by stepping into cleaning operative roles when necessary (e.g., during absences or peak periods).
* Cover duties of the Senior Supervisor during periods of absence or leave.
2. Administrative Duties
Execute ISO 9002 standards on site, including maintaining training records, participating in inspections, and managing complaints procedures.
* Process annual leave and absence requests, in collaboration with the Senior Supervisor.
* Complete and manage sign-on sheets, toolbox talks.
* Process staff hours and submit to payroll systems accurately and on time if required.
* Supervise and monitor staff attendance and timekeeping records.
* Allocate, schedule, and reorganize staff resources as required to meet operational demands.
* Manage uniform issue and collection, especially for new starters and leavers.
* Perform general administrative duties, including filing, data entry, and maintaining soft services records.
* Maintain daily area checklists and ensure completion of assigned logs and compliance documents.
* Monitor and support usage of the site learning/training management system for supervised personnel from the ISS and client side.
3. Customer Relations
* Act as the first point of contact for clients and ISS employees on site regarding cleaning services.
* Foster and encourage positive working relationships with clients and site teams.
* Respond promptly and professionally to client queries, requests, and complaints, ensuring appropriate follow-up.
4. Training & Development
Deliver basic 'On the Job' training for new staff members and the refresher training for existing personnel.
* Instruct staff in safe working practices, including manual handling and chemical safety.
* Provide coaching and instruction in basic technical cleaning skills and the correct use of equipment.
* Support continuous development and upskilling of staff in line with company procedures.

* Highly flexible, with a willingness to cover shifts, areas, or tasks outside standard duties when required.
* Willing to undergo Garda Vetting if applicable.
* A minimum of 3–5 years' experience in a similar role is required, with knowledge of sanitization processes for Controlled Non-Classified Areas.

Other features of the job:
It may be necessary to work alternative hours, shift patterns or unsociable hours, including bank holidays and sometimes more than contracted hours. As part of your job, you will be expected to attend training events and/or meetings and travel to other locations may be required for training purposes.
