Job Overview

The Pharmaceutical Application Support Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and availability of pharmaceutical applications. This position involves monitoring and maintaining these applications, performing regular system health checks, applying patches, updates, and upgrades as needed.

Main Responsibilities:

* Monitor and maintain pharmaceutical applications to ensure they are functioning correctly and efficiently.
* Perform regular system health checks and proactive maintenance to prevent issues from arising.
* Apply patches, updates, and upgrades to applications as required to ensure they remain current and secure.
* Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, printers, and other peripherals to support application functionality.
* Provide technical support to users via phone, email, or in-person, troubleshooting application errors and resolving hardware, software, and network issues promptly.
* Work closely with development teams to identify and implement fixes for application errors.
* Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to hardware, software, and network infrastructure.
* Communicate effectively with stakeholders to keep them informed of issue status and resolutions.
* Ensure applications comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., FDA, GMP, SOX).
* Implement and maintain security protocols to protect sensitive data.
* Analyze application performance and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and user experience.
* Conduct regular reviews and assessments to identify areas for optimization.
* Participate in application-related projects, including new implementations, upgrades, and migrations.
* Assist in requirement gathering, testing, and deployment phases.
* Project Manage the delivery of electronic systems, inc requirements gathering, scheduling, budgeting.
* Develop and execute validation protocols (IQ, OQ, PQ) for GxP systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Generate and analyze reports on application performance and usage.
* Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of support activities, configurations, and processes.
* Prepare for and participate in regulatory inspections and audits.
* Address findings and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) as needed.
