The Talbot Hotel Midleton is looking to fill the position of Food & Beverage Supervisor. This is a full time salaried position, with the role rostered for 39 hours per week, working 5 days out of 7, ideal candidates will be flexible with working evenings and weekends in a busy 4 star hotel.
Reporting to the Food and Beverage Manager and the General Manager, you will assist in the smooth and efficient running of the hotel restaurant, bar &/or banqueting departments, to ensure profitable operation whilst complying with Company Standards and ensuring complete guest satisfaction at all times.
Main Duties to include:
To ensure the smooth management of the food & beverage service in conjunction with the Deputy General Manager and the supervisory team
Dealing with situations and customer queries as they arise
Check and ensure adequate beverage and wine stock levels on a regular basis
Ensure all orders are taken accurately and serviced efficiently.
To ensure all staff have sufficient knowledge of menus, beverages and service standards and to identify any training needs in relation to these areas, conducting training with staff when required
To ensure a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness in all areas of the Bar, Restaurant & Banqueting and other related areas
To ensure the correct set up in the Restaurant, Bar &/or Restaurant prior to service and to ensure the right atmosphere is created
To assist in the rostering of staff accurately and effectively according to business requirements and to monitor these business levels daily
Supervise, control and monitor all staff on duty ensuring all duties are being fully carried out in accordance with Company Procedures
To ensure a high standard of service and attention to detail within the hotel/your department
Check the main safe at the beginning and end of each shift
Ensure all floats are accurate before giving to each department
To maximise staff productivity and encourage staff motivation by helping to create a positive working environment.
To deal with customer complaints in an efficient and professional manner and to notify Management of these.
