Job Title: Financial Services Specialist
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Services Specialist to join our team. This individual will be responsible for providing support and maintaining the integrity of financial data across various ledgers, with a focus on general ledger (GL) management.
Key Responsibilities:
* Reconcile control accounts, journals, and tasks aligned with month-end close procedures
* Oversee timely submission of direct tax filings (VAT, RCT, PAYE) and lease accounting administration
* Prepare GL balance sheet reconciliations, review, and communicate results to stakeholders
* Process journal entries with proper approval and documentation
* Manage intercompany processes and VAT return preparation
* Administer projects and contracts, addressing audit queries as needed
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* A qualified accounting background
* Experience with general ledger management within the construction industry (preferable)
* Working knowledge of ERP systems, DRC, RCT, and VAT, along with intermediate-level Excel skills
* Proven ability to accurately enter and check ledger data, ensuring high-quality results
* Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
* Target-driven approach, managing to strict service level agreements (SLAs)
* Proactive problem-solving and error detection capabilities
* Strong written and oral communication skills
* Understanding of the company's values
