Base pay range
LOCATION: UCD, Belfield, Dublin 4, Ireland
Role Purpose
We are seeking an experienced English teacher with a background in English Language schools and Summer Programmes, particularly in multilingual, young learner classrooms. Your responsibilities include engaging students to maximize learning outcomes and delivering interesting, enjoyable lessons based on a General English Syllabus, including functional language for practical use during social and project-based activities. You may also assist in developing materials, testing students, and leading social or CPD sessions.
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Plan, deliver, and assess student work to meet learning outcomes.
2. Maintain accurate attendance and administrative records.
3. Develop and update course materials.
4. Employ diverse teaching methods and materials.
5. Participate in meetings and collaborate with teams.
6. Arrive on-site at least 15 minutes before lessons.
7. Meet regularly with an Academic Manager to review progress.
8. Attend induction and ongoing training sessions.
9. Participate in monthly CPD; DELTA teachers may lead training sessions.
10. Support other duties as required by EP.
Essential Skills and Experience
* Qualifications: CELTA/CertTESOL, DELTA, Trinity Dip TESOL, or equivalent at master’s level.
* Experience teaching young learners (CELTYL or similar is desirable).
* Proven experience in similar courses within English Language schools.
* Excellent English language skills and understanding of teaching methodology in multilingual settings.
* Attributes: Enthusiastic, organized, responsible, approachable, positive, tech-savvy, detail-oriented, motivated, and capable of working independently and in teams.

* Promote safeguarding and ensure a safe, inclusive environment.
* Provide emotional and pastoral support, promoting wellbeing.
* Manage classroom behavior with support from management.
* Be aware of prevent duty and report concerns.
* Follow EP safeguarding policies and procedures to protect children and vulnerable adults.
