MaintenanceJob PurposeLead a multifunctional team in overseeing all installations, repair, and upkeep of facilities & plantReports ToFactory ManagerKey ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to:Drive plant efficiencies across all areas with particular focus on problem maintenance issues, as identified through our computerised maintenance system, FlexDesign and implement maintenance strategies, procedures, and methodsCollaborate with the production team to achieve site schedules and provide engineering solutions to recurring reactive maintenance issuesManage and update the Computerised Maintenance Management SystemDiagnose breakdown problems and develop preventative maintenance programs for electrical and mechanical systemsEnsure constant supply of electrical services & mechanical services for the siteBe actively involved in any lean initiatives to improve plant efficiencyManage the development and up-skilling of the site maintenance team to achieve a high performance team and liaise with the Factory Manager on additional resourcing needsInstall & commission new equipment such as plant machinery, portable firefighting equipment, and fire hydrantsBe responsible for setting and achieving agreed maintenance budget and targetsManage Maintenance PO system to include creation, approval and matching of PO's to delivery docketsMonitor and report on electricity, gas, refrigeration, water, and steam costsDevelop and manage good relations with critical suppliersPurchase, manage and control critical and routine spare parts, supplies and equipmentEnsure service contracts are in place for mission critical services and machinery, and schedule their completionManage external contractors by ensuring that contractor management procedures are adhered to and that method statements have been received and by checking insurance informationBe responsible for meeting predefined KPI targets with respect to maintenance downtime, maintenance performance and overall equipment effectiveness and report on same as requiredEnsure that statutory maintenance testing is carried outEnsure site documentation is accurate, timely and relevantEnsure timely calibration of plant equipment and instrumentationEnsure that all portable firefighting equipment is inspected and certified annually by a fire protection equipment companyEnsure that all fire hydrants, emergency showers and any water supply that would not be used regularly is flushed out on a weekly basis for the prevention of LegionellaManage the plant to maintain safety, environmental, quality and hygiene standards, and present to auditors as requiredEssentialSkills / Qualifications / Experience:Minimum 5 years' experience leading a team in a similar role/environmentMust hold an electrical qualification with industrial experienceAbility to apply engineering principles in practical applicationProject Management experience essentialProven track record in team development and management essentialExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsEnthusiastic, energetic, optimistic, can-do attitudeIs strategic and continuously looking for ways to improve how things are done, use of Lean tools/MethodologyCustomer and results focused and be highly committed to providing excellent standard of serviceDesirableControls, PLC, software, automated equipment experienceNote: As with all positions, due to the dynamic nature of Arrow Group business, key responsibilities will evolve and change over time.
