Role: The company is currently seeking to employ a Journey Coordinator on a full time basis.
The Journey Coordinator is responsible for all elements involved with planning, organising, and monitoring all driver routes for the delivery of medications to TCP Homecare patients, while promoting the highest standard of service at all times.
The role requires exceptional organisational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple internal teams and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain journey schedules within the Journey Planner, ensuring all routes are prepared is advance.
Create, monitor and update journey maps in response to route changes, patient requirements and operational priorities.
Allocate routes to drivers using the internal system, ensuring all journey summaries are accurate and complete.
Review and approve all journeys, ensuring full alignment between the Journey Planner and the system prior to dispatch.
Manage the Journey Planner shared inbox, ensuring all communications are reviewed and actioned promptly.
Act as the central point of communication between Customer Services, Pharmacy, Warehouse teams, and drivers to ensure clear and consistent information flow Liaise directly with drivers to communicate route details, updates, and any required clarifications.
Distribute journey maps and summaries ahead of morning loading, ensuring all relevant information is accessible and complete.
Assess route feasibility and make informed decisions on whether journeys can proceed as planned.
Communicate decisions clearly to stakeholders, providing rationale and proposing solutions when issues arise.
Respond quickly to unexpected changes, adjusting journeys to accommodate patient availability, driver issues, and operational constraints.
Ensure all planning activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal quality standards.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date journey information across all internal systems, ensuring data integrity and completeness.
Keep consistent Journey Planner records, including logs and route histories, to support tracking and reporting.
Conduct daily system checks to ensure alignment between planned and assigned journeys, making corrections as needed.
Key Desirables: Proficiency in route planning tools, mapping software, and internal scheduling systems.
Ability to read, interpret, and optimise routes using mapping tools and planning software.
Strong working knowledge of email and documentation platforms (e.g., Outlook, Excel, and internal systems).
Exceptional attention to detail, with a strong focus on accuracy in a highly sensitive, regulated environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly across teams.
Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities.
Strong problem-solving skills, with sound judgement and decision-making under pressure.

Previous experience in logistics coordination, route / transport planning desirable but not essential.
