Senior System Development Engineer - Medical Devices (Contract)
Location: Limerick, Ireland (Hybrid - 4 days onsite)
Contract: 6 months (potential extension)

About the Role
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead integration of embedded software and hardware systems for advanced medical devices
* Develop and maintain software in C++, C#, and embedded C
* Manage bug fixes, patch deployment, and feature enhancements under strict timelines
* Collaborate with a team of engineers on system-level troubleshooting and network safety
* Ensure compliance with ISO 13485, IEC 60
* Maintain design history files and technical documentation per regulatory requirements
Essential Skills & Experience:
* Strong proficiency in C++, C#, and embedded C
* Minimum 5 years' experience in embedded systems and system integration
* Exposure to regulated environments (medical devices preferred; aerospace/automotive acceptable)
* Ability to work under pressure and deliver from month one
* Familiarity with hardware-software integration and troubleshooting
Desirable:
* Experience with IEC 60601 safety standards
* Knowledge of FDA and EU MDR frameworks
