Head of Governance, Risk & Compliance, Dublin
Vision Ireland is seeking a dedicated and experienced Head of Governance, Risk & Compliance to lead the development and improvement of governance arrangements, risk management, and compliance. This role reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and involves working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, Governance Committee, and Audit & Risk Committee.
The successful candidate will also manage Data Protection and GDPR compliance and promote a culture of safety, transparency, and prudent risk management across the organization.
Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and implement Governance, Risk, and Compliance frameworks and strategies.
* Ensure compliance with statutory governance requirements and CRA guidance.
* Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and risk awareness.
* Manage governance policies, procedures, and regulatory issues.
* Develop and monitor strategic objectives and KPIs related to governance, risk, and compliance.
* Oversee risk management policies, the Corporate Risk Register, and data protection efforts.
* Coordinate policies on Serious Incidents, complaints, Protected Disclosures, and Health & Safety.
* Reassess operational risks regularly and contribute to the wider leadership group's work on risk management.
Qualifications and Experience
* At least 5 years of senior management experience.
* Degree level 8 qualification on the Irish National Framework.
* Qualifications in quality management, regulation, or governance.
* Experience in risk management, change management, and fostering continuous improvement.
* Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder relationship skills.
* Knowledge of statutory, regulatory, and policy frameworks, including CRA guidelines.
* Project Management certification and understanding of the Irish public sector are desirable.
