Operations Support Manager – Limerick
Excel Recruitment is seeking an experienced and dynamic Operations Support Manager to oversee our client's retail operations in Limerick.
This role is ideal for a results-driven professional with a strong background in convenience or grocery retail, sales growth, and business development. You will be responsible for driving sales, profitability, and brand engagement across multiple stores while implementing best practices.
Salary: €70k – €80k, performance-based incentives
Responsibilities
1. Exceed agreed sales and profitability targets across all stores
2. Achieve and maintain a retailer loyalty rate of 90% or higher
3. Ensure strong brand engagement through training, key initiatives, and operational excellence
4. Manage a pipeline of potential new stores and oversee rebranding efforts
5. Ensure all accounts comply with credit terms and maintain profitability across locations
6. Provide insights on competitor activity and market trends to drive strategic decision-making
7. Ensure compliance with legislation, best practices, and quality standards, including attaining the EIQA mark
8. Maintain accurate records, including journey plans, weekly/monthly reports, and prospect lists
Requirements
9. Minimum 5 years' experience in the convenience retail industry, ideally in a retail development or area management role
10. Strong knowledge of P&L, cash flow projections, and financial management
11. Proven success in achieving sales targets and driving business growth in a retail environment
12. Experience managing budgets and working within financial constraints
13. Full clean driving licence required
