We are committed to diversity, inclusion, and the circular economy.The RoleWe are now recruiting a Coordinator to lead the day‑to‑day delivery of the Ballina Local Training Initiative (LTI) in collaboration with Mayo, Sligo and Leitrim ETB (MSLETB).As the LTI Coordinator, you will play a central role in ensuring the successful delivery, coordination and quality assurance of the ICT programme. You will combine ICT teaching capability with strong administrative, organisational and learner‑support skills.This role suits someone who is passionate about education, community development, and supporting people to achieve real and lasting change.Key ResponsibilitiesTraining Delivery & Learner SupportDeliver and facilitate ICT‑focused modules (software development, networking, cybersecurity), along with transversal and employment‑focused skills.Support learners through group facilitation, coaching and 1:1 mentoring.Develop and maintain Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) and carry out regular learner progress reviews.Ensure learner induction and attendance tracking meet MSLETB TQAS and audit requirements.Foster a positive, safe, inclusive and learner‑centred environment.Programme Coordination & ManagementCoordinate the day‑to‑day running of the Ballina ICT LTI.Plan weekly schedules for staff and external tutors.Lead learner recruitment, assessments, interviews and registrations in collaboration with MSLETB and DSP.Source, supervise and quality‑assure external tutors.Coordinate work experience placements and liaise with local employers, community partners and ETB representatives.Administration, Governance & ComplianceMaintain accurate learner, programme and financial records in line with ETB, ESF, FOI and GDPR requirements.Prepare monthly reports, attendance data and statistical returns for MSLETB.Manage petty cash, procurement and financial administration in accordance with ETB thresholds.Support ETB monitoring visits and ensure the programme is audit‑ready at all times.Quality AssuranceImplement all MSLETB TQAS procedures, assessment processes and documentation retention rules.Ensure all QA, accreditation and programme standards are consistently met.Essential RequirementsA recognised teaching/training qualification (e.g., QQI Level 6 or higher, Train‑the‑Trainer or equivalent), plus 2+ years' post‑qualification training delivery experience.OR a documented development plan with structured supervision (in exceptional cases).ICT competence in one or more areas: software development, networking, cybersecurity.Experience delivering QQI Levels 4–5 modules.Strong administrative skills and comfort working in a compliance‑heavy environment.Clear ability to support disadvantaged learner cohorts in a respectful, strengths‑based manner.Excellent communication, organisation and time‑management skills.Garda Vetting required.DesirableAdditional ICT qualifications or industry experience.Experience working in community education, FET, ETB‑funded programmes or youth/adult education.Understanding of ETB procedures, TQAS, QA systems, FOI and ESF requirements.Experience designing assessments or contributing to quality assurance processes.Why Work With FIT?Make a real difference in the lives of learners who may never have had the opportunity to access tech education.Join a mission‑driven, supportive team committed to equality, inclusion and progression.Work within an established national organisation with strong ETB partnerships and clear structures.Our Commitment to InclusionFIT CLG is proud to be an equal opportunities employer.
