Job Title: ICT Systems Manager
About the Role:
The organisation is seeking a skilled ICT Systems Manager to join their dedicated team. The successful candidate will provide technical support, IT skills training, and network administration. Key responsibilities include hardware and software maintenance, technical assistance via a helpdesk system, IT skills training for staff and service users, network administration in a Microsoft Windows Server environment, user account management, email services, system integrity monitoring, data backup administration, new user setups, telecommunications systems administration, and liaising with vendors.
Main Responsibilities:
* Maintenance of desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, routers, and firewalls
* Technical assistance to staff and service users through a helpdesk system
* IT skills training sessions for staff and service users
* Network administration in Microsoft Windows Server and Citrix VMware environments
* User account management and email services through Microsoft Exchange and Office .
* System integrity and security monitoring using antivirus and anti-spyware tools
* Data backup administration (onsite and offsite)
* New user setups, desk moves, and cabling tasks
* Telcommunications systems administration and software license compliance
* Liaising with vendors and service providers to source IT solutions ensuring best value
* Supporting management information systems development through software utilities
* Maintaining IT documentation and advising on new technologies and improvements
* Leading IT projects and providing cover for the ICT Manager when required
Requirements:
* Degree in IT, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related discipline
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in an IT operational environment
* Proficiency with Microsoft Windows 10, Office, Office, Windows Server, and Exchange
* Strong understanding of desktop hardware, software, and networking technologies
* Experience with switches, hubs, wireless access points, and structured cabling
* Full driver's license with access to own transport
* Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical staff
