Safety & Health Representative (Client Facing) – Dublin

Responsibilities
* Assess current organisational structures and work practices within a healthcare maintenance and small works environment.
* Evaluate potential hazards and conduct thorough risk assessments.
* Implement measures to mitigate identified risks.
* Provide comprehensive health and safety education and support to employees, managers, and third‑party contractors.
* Develop operational procedures and internal health and safety policies, strategies, contractor codes and safe operating procedures.
* Advise the client on compliance with the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations and address any concerns.
* Evaluate contractors’ competence for construction projects.
* Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety measures during construction works.
* Create essential safety documentation such as safety statements, contractor codes and standard operating procedures.
* Collaborate with a supportive head office team and receive guidance as needed.
* Maintain regular communication and reporting to an off‑site supervisor.
Qualifications
* Degree in Engineering or a related construction discipline with recognised Safety and Health training (postgraduate diploma level is desirable but not essential).
* Successful delivery of healthcare projects.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
* Chartered Member of Engineers Ireland, IOSH or similar (desirable).
* Experience developing/implementing safety management systems (e.g., Safe T Cert, ISO 45001 or OHAS 18001) (desirable).
* Experience in an acute healthcare campus environment (desirable).
