A Global semiconductor giant based in Cork are seeking to bolster their team with a talented System Architect Engineer.
Responsibilities Define and architect next-generation So C solutions across CPU, GPU, DSP, multimedia, machine learning, and power/performance domains for mobile, Io T, automotive, and emerging platforms.
Perform hands-on system and workload analysis, including algorithm optimisation and performance/power characterisation, to guide architectural decisions.
Develop, deploy, and utilise simulators, profilers, and prototype hardware to quantitatively evaluate architectural trade-offs.
Collaborate closely with hardware design, verification, software, marketing, and product planning teams to deliver scalable, market-leading So C architectures.
Communicate architectural findings, resolve complex system-level issues, and drive innovation through technical leadership and patent contributions.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 7+ years of systems engineering or architecture experience; MS or Ph D preferred.
Strong background in So C and computer architecture, including CPUs, GPUs, DSPs, memory systems, cache coherency, and interconnects.
Experience spanning hardware, micro-architecture, and embedded software for large-scale So C systems.
Proficiency in system modelling, simulation, and analysis using tools such as System C/C++, profilers, scripting languages, or equivalent frameworks.
Excellent cross-functional collaboration, communication, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to influence technical direction at a Staff level.
