Quinn & Associates has been exclusively retained to appoint a Chief Operating Officer on behalf of a high-growth renewable energy business entering a significant expansion phase.
This is a pivotal executive appointment, offering both immediate leadership impact and clear long-term progression as the organisation scales across national and European markets.
Role Overview
The COO will oversee all project execution functions, from pre-construction planning through delivery and into maintenance.
The focus is on building operational resilience, optimising commercial outcomes, and supporting the CEO in driving the company's next phase of strategic growth.
Key Responsibilities
Lead delivery of infrastructure projects, ensuring outcomes are achieved safely, on time, and within budget
Own scheduling, programme performance, risk management, and commercial controls across all project stages
Champion operational excellence, health and safety, quality assurance, and documentation standards
Manage contractual variations, claims, and supplier performance with clarity and commercial acuity
Serve as a senior leader across engineering, construction, and maintenance functions, reporting directly to the CEO
Candidate Profile
Proven experience in a senior operational or delivery leadership role within renewable energy or major infrastructure
Strong commercial and contractual fluency, with demonstrated budget and programme ownership
Degree-qualified in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
Masters and/or MBA an advantage.
Comfortable operating in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments with evolving governance and scale
Credible communicator with board-level stakeholder experience
