Job Description:We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Cloud Operation Engineer to manage, optimize, and maintain our cloud-based infrastructure. This role ensures the stability, security, and performance of our cloud services, enabling the business to scale efficiently and reliably. You will collaborate with development, security, and infrastructure teams to deliver high-availability solutionsWhat you'll be doing:Cloud Infrastructure ManagementDeploy, monitor, and maintain cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, or equivalent)Implement and manage virtual networks, storage, compute resources, and load balancersAutomate provisioning and scaling using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates)Operations & MonitoringSet up and manage monitoring, alerting, and logging systems (CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Prometheus, etc.)Proactively identify performance bottlenecks, troubleshoot issues, and optimize resource utilizationEnsure system uptime, availability, and disaster recovery readinessSecurity & ComplianceImplement cloud security best practices, including IAM policies, encryption, and network securitySupport compliance with standards (ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA, etc.)Conduct periodic security reviews and risk continuous improvements to our cloud environmentAutomation & OptimizationDevelop and maintain CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with DevOps and development teamsAutomate operational tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual interventionsOptimize cloud costs through usage analysis and rightsizing strategiesMonitor and optimize cloud costs, leveraging reserved instances, auto-scaling, and resource schedulingIncident & Change ManagementRespond to and resolve incidents within defined SLAsMaintain accurate documentation of cloud systems, procedures, and changesParticipate in on-call rotation for critical incident responseDevOps Integration – Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflowsDisaster Recovery & Backup – Design and maintain disaster recovery and backup strategies for cloud workloadsMentorship & Leadership –Perform peer reviews, and lead technical discussionsWhat you'll bring:Minimum 7 years of experience in cloud infrastructure operationsProficiency with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP)Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell)Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation)Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)Knowledge of networking fundamentals (DNS, VPN, firewalls, routing)Understanding of cloud security principles and compliance requirementsCertifications such as AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Azure Administrator Associate, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud EngineerExperience with hybrid cloud and multi-cloud environmentsHands-on with cost monitoring tools (AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, etc.)Exposure to ITIL-based service management practicesFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelinesStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsExcellent communication and documentation abilitiesAbility to work independently and in cross-functional teamsAdaptability to rapidly changing technologies and prioritiesTo apply, click on the 'apply for this job' button, you'll then need to log in or create a profile to submit your CV.
