On completion of 6 months successful probation ESA will invest in training i.e. manual handling, first aid with a view to further progression.

As a Health and Safety Assistant you can join a prestigious business. This is an varied role providing various experience in many aspects of Health and Safety from Manufacturing, Food Safety, Construction and commercial Businesses.
This position plays a vital role in ensuring that the Health and Safety Department runs effectively and efficiently while also providing an essential support service to the Health and Safety Consultants.
The successful candidate can work remotely, and they may be requested to travel to Clients such it be necessary. Car and full Driver's licence required.
The successful candidate must be focused and carry out all areas of their role in a professional manner. As the person will be the first point of contact for Health and Safety Clients who call or visit professionalism is foremost.
A strong commend of the English language, eager to progress their education over time and consideration to third level qualification.
Role:
· Contacting clients to arrange training and site assessments and training.
· Attending sites to carry out training.
· Manage online safety training courses.
· Manage document control, filing and records ensuring attention to detail and
sensitivity whilst handling details of a confidential nature.
· Review risk assessments, method statements and documents to ensure compliance
with legislation.
· Manage Thread (our in-house system) to ensure contracts are compliant.
· Develop, monitor, implement and audit Health and Safety procedures/policies.
· Update and maintain Health and Safety procedures and the company's Safety
Statement in compliance with Regulatory and environmental requirements.
· Ensuring compliance with statutory legislation and internal policies and procedures
related to quality; protection of the environment; safety, health and welfare.
· Developing and maintaining documentation (e.g. quality, health and safety
management systems, audit schedule, procedures, forms).
· Preparing documentation for audits and inspections.
· Keep up to date with new legislation and maintain a working knowledge of all Health
and Safety enforcement priorities.
· Assist clients with accident investigations.
· Ad hoc administration duties as required.

Qualifications
Health and Safety Qualification an advantage but not essential as full training provided to role provided.
A hardworking individual looking to gain experience, with a positive attitude and willingness to learn on the job and progression will be guaranteed.
Proficiency in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Office 365, willing to learn Thread Legal and other systems including mail chimp.
